Fixed-Price Draw for Art Sale
The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum offers proxy services for those who wish to participate but cannot attend in the Prix de West Invitational Art Exhibition & Sale on Saturday, June 10, 2023. Every year we assist many individuals with this service.
Each person placing a proxy must purchase a ballot book costing $85. The ballot book contains one ballot for each artwork.
If you wish to place a fixed-price proxy ballot on one piece, list that artwork and the pertinent information on the proxy form. If you decide to proxy on two or more pieces of art, list all items on the proxy form. In this case, you must indicate whether you want both, or if you get #1 that you do not want #2, and so forth.
For instance, if you want to rank the items:

IT IS UNDERSTOOD THAT IF MORE THAN ONE ARTWORK IS LISTED AND YOU ARE DRAWN ON ALL, YOU ARE OBLIGATED TO PURCHASE ALL ARTWORKS UNLESS YOU OTHERWISE INSTRUCT IN WRITING. IT IS ALSO UNDERSTOOD IF YOU ARE PLACING A PROXY BALLOT ON SCULPTURE WITH ADDITIONAL CASTINGS AND NOT DRAWN FOR THE PIECE ON DISPLAY, YOU ARE OBLIGATED TO PURCHASE THE ADDITIONAL CASTING UNLESS YOU OTHERWISE INSTRUCT IN WRITING.
You may fax your proxy form to Diana Fields at (405) 478-4714 or email to [email protected]. A printable proxy form is available below. You may also submit a digital proxy form by using the button below. Proxy ballots must be submitted by 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2023.
PLEASE PROVIDE PHONE NUMBERS WHERE YOU CAN BE REACHED ON THE EVENING OF THE SALE TO INFORM YOU IF YOUR PROXY WAS SELECTED.
Please note:
Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are accepted and subject to a 3% credit card fee. In addition, Oklahoma state and local sales tax (8.625%) will be added to all purchases regardless of shipment destination or purchaser’s state of residence. Sales tax exemptions will be honored, and buyers must present proof of exemption at the time of purchase.
Buyers paying by check must ensure their check arrives by Wednesday, June 14, 2023. If your ballot is selected, and other payment arrangements have not been made, your credit card will be charged on or around June 12, 2023. Please notify your credit card company that a large charge is authorized at that time.
IF AN ARTWORK IS SELECTED AS THE PRIX DE WEST PURCHASE AWARD WINNER, IT IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR OUTSIDE PURCHASE. It becomes part of the Museum’s permanent collection. Proxies will be notified prior to the sale if their ballots are placed on the Purchase Award piece.
