About

Every year since 1973 the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum hosts its prestigious invitational art exhibit featuring Western paintings and sculpture by the finest contemporary artists in the nation. The exhibiting artists bring a diversity of styles to this prestigious art exhibition. Works range from historical pieces that reflect the early days of the West, to more contemporary and impressionistic works of art. Landscapes, wildlife and illustrative scenes are always highlighted in the exhibition.

The Prix de West is a career booster for participating artists, a memory-making experience for collectors and the largest annual fundraiser for the Museum, which operates without tax-based support and depends on private, corporate and foundation contributions. Perhaps you have attended every one of these events in the Museum’s history or you’ve heard about it and always dreamed of coming. The welcome mat is out for you to participate in, North America’s top Western art happening!
